Self-Etching Glass-Ceramic Primer

Description:

Monobond® Etch & Prime by Ivoclar is a self-etching, single-component ceramic primer for preparing indirect glass-ceramic restorations for adhesive cementation. It etches and silanizes silica-based ceramic surfaces in one working step, promoting a chemical bond with luting composites.

Features:

• Combines etching and silanization in one product
• Suitable for pre-treated and non pre-treated glass-ceramic restorations
• Applied to the restoration outside the mouth
• 20-second agitation followed by a further 40-second reaction time

Application Overview

• Following try-in, rinse the restoration and dry with oil- and moisture-free air
• Apply to the bonding surface with a microbrush and agitate for 20 seconds using light pressure
• Allow to react for another 40 seconds
• Rinse thoroughly with water until the green colour is removed
• Dry with a strong stream of oil- and moisture-free air for approximately 10 seconds

Follow the manufacturer's full instructions and those of the luting composite. This product is not intended for intraoral application or conditioning oxide ceramics such as zirconia, metal restorations or composite restorations. It is corrosive; avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes.
